What inspired Underdog Sanctuary?

The inspiration for Underdog Sanctuary came from a love of animals, respect for nature, and a dream to be surrounded by a herd of unique personalities! Mission accomplished…(we have personality for days around here!). We were also inspired by other sanctuaries, and individuals, leading with compassion and the talents that are uniquely theirs!

When was Underdog Sanctuary founded?

We received our Certificate of Incorporation in 2021 and our 501(c)(3) Acceptance Letter in 2023! Since then, we have been continuously working on keeping our small league of superheroes healthy, happy, and out of trouble!

How does Underdog Sanctuary work?

Underdog Sanctuary might be a very small-scale operation, but it’s a big deal to the four piggies, four doggies, and one human who live here! We have such a well-choreographed routine that, if something doesn’t go to plan, Diana will let you know! We eat twice a day but snack all the time. The human works full-time and also snacks all the time. The girls are spayed, the boys are neutered. The pigs and the dogs each have their own dedicated spaces - in this case, not sharing is caring!

Can we come for a visit?
